After recent reports that Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite are experiencing delays in console production due to the coronavirus, Career Connection, a Japanese media outlet, reached out to Nintendo in search of an update.
Career Connection contacted four major Tokyo retailers recently and found that they were out of stock. It’s a situation that has been similar in many countries across the world at the moment.
Nintendo responded with a new update for April 2020 on the situation and it is, unfortunately, an ongoing problem.
Nintendo shared that there are still delays in production in China, due to restrictions that are in place in the metropolitan area to combat the current global pandemic.
While the reduction in production is disappointing, it is understandable Nintendo will experience barriers at this unprecedented time.
