In honor of the upcoming release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a game that will take place on an island, Nintendo Minute hosts Kit Ellis and Krysta Yang ventured back to Breath of the Wild‘s Eventide Island for this week’s installment of the miniseries. The Eventide challenge was to see if the pair could survive for 24 in-game hours and to find out what hijinks they could get themselves into.
The challenge was outside the “Stranded on Eventide” side quest, and while Krysta and Kit allowed themselves equipment, including the Master Sword and Hylian Shield, they learned it takes more than that to stay safe on an island teeming with enemies. Fire, monster camps, and an untimely lightning storm during a Hinox battle were just a few hazards, but the full video can be watched below.
Featured on the official Nintendo YouTube channel, Nintendo Minute is a weekly series in which Kit and Krysta play various Nintendo titles or participate in other quirky events. One of last month’s videos also featured Breath of the Wild, where the duo attempted to accomplish 20 challenges in 20 minutes.
