This year has already proven to be a great one for Breath of the Wild fans, from the restoration of an unused shrine to the speedrun for Bread%. But everything you know about special items in the game is about to change. Or, at least duplicate.
Now you can manipulate the game to duplicate Spirit Orbs, Korok Seeds, and all other items given to you in a cutscene. To accomplish this, you must successfully activate the “Memory Storage” glitch, where you view a memory immediately at game load, then kill Link to set up a “no death” run on a new file with glitchy effects. With this new save file, you must place the Travel Medallion on Eventide Island, and locate a shrine you’ve yet to conquer.
Grab the Spirit Orb and quit the game, then reload from the same save file, starting the Eventide Island quest and immediately surrender. Your Spirit Orbs will still be there, but the shrine they came from will remain marked as incomplete.
