Book it across Hyrule with Prince Sidon’s help in this newest glitch

Finding new ways to traverse Breath of the Wild’s vast landscapes has been an appeal for the game’s players since day one. The physics engine’s potential is still being tapped in weird, unexpected ways more than two years after the game’s release, and this latest exploit is one for the books.

A month ago the “ride Sidon anywhere” glitch cropped up — a tricky glitch that, when pulled off, brought Prince Sidon onto land in a perpetual swimming animation. It was more amusing than practical — turns out a Zora out of water doesn’t move too fast. Now another layer of amusement has been added by Twitch streamer PointCrow. As he demonstrates in a video posted to Reddit Prince Sidon can be used to propel and steer the metal bookcase that is found in Hyrule Castle — a mode of transportation PointCrow has dubbed “booksurfing”.

It’s a lengthy process as you’ll need to first execute the “ride Sidon anywhere” glitch, and then make your way to Hyrule Castle for the bookcase. Whether or not the amusing result is worth all of the hassle is up to you. Check out PointCrow’s video below and judge for yourself.
