Get on your Excitement Pants and reuse those memes about hype trains! Nintendo has announced one of its iconic Directs to take place tomorrow, September 4, at 3 p.m. PST.
All we know is that we’re going to have a look at Luigi’s Mansion 3 and the new Pokémon titles. It’s going to be roughly 40 minutes of coverage featuring games for the rest of the year, and perhaps a little beyond.
We’re likely going to get one last look at Link’s Awakening (2019) as well, since that’s just a couple of weeks away. Hopefully, we’ll get a little bit of Animal Crossing news to help keep away the frothing demand, but we’re most likely only hearing about the rest of 2019’s lineup. It would probably be best to put those Breath of the Wild sequel hopes on hold as well. It’s most likely that Nintendo won’t open up about that again until next year. But hey, who knows! That’s the magic of the Nintendo Direct. This past year has had three Zelda announcements during Directs! It feels like all bets are off at this point.
