Now out on the Switch, Anodyne will have you dreaming of Link’s Awakening

Inspired by Link’s Awakening, the 2013 indie title Anodyne now calls the Nintendo Switch home. The game from Analgesic Studios originally launched on PC, and with the Link’s Awakening remake launching this year, it’s perfect timing to make its way onto the Switch.

Like Link’s Awakening, the game is set in a dream world. You play as the protagonist Young, exploring dungeons and solving puzzles. There’s a variety of characters to meet, and as a nice callback to Ocarina of Time, a “Hey, Listen!” is thrown into the dialogue.

Coming this May, the sequel Anodyne 2: Return to Dust will launch on Steam. Like the original, it will still be Zelda-inspired, but will also include 3D gameplay.
