New details about the Nintendo Entertainment System app, which will come bundled with a Nintendo Switch Online membership, have been released by Nintendo Australia. According to their official website, the NES games app will only use 58.62 MB of storage on your Nintendo Switch, leaving plenty of room for other games and applications. Additionally, an official email from Nintendo has confirmed that in addition to online compatibility the 20 NES titles will have selectable filters, access to save states, and will display in HD, although no specific resolution was listed.

In addition to the selection of NES titles, featuring hits like The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros. 3, Nintendo Switch Online will offer players access to cloud save backups, social features through the connected smartphone app, special discounts, and it will also allow Nintendo Switch owners to continue enjoying online play in compatible titles like Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8, and more.

Nintendo Switch Online will launch tomorrow, September 18, following a scheduled block of eShop maintenance which will begin at 5 pm PT.
