It should come as no surprise to Super Smash Bros. fans that Nintendo plans to keep surprises in store for the remainder of the year for their upcoming, no doubt, smash-hit entry into the series.

In a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter, Nintendo of America’s Bill Trinen confirmed as much. “The (Smash Bros. Invitational) tournament is going to be designed to show quite a bit of the game in terms of modes, characters and items, but obviously we won’t show everything and we’re keeping a few surprises for later in the year.”

Of course, this is how Super Smash Bros. has always operated, with various teasers and announcements coming throughout the development time. We’ve seen this with Super Smash Bros. Brawl and the Smash Dojo, as well as with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS.
