If you’ve been following the news articles on Zelda Universe (or watch a lot of late night TV), then you may have seen Reggie Fils Aime appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon yesterday, where he demoed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild running on the Nintendo Switch. This wasn’t the first time Reggie appeared on The Tonight Show, however, as in 2011 Reggie appeared as a guest to show off the Nintendo Wii U as well as a little game called The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

After a quick demo of Kid Icarus on the 3DS, they move on to the Skyward Sword demo where Jimmy begins to lose his cool with excitement. Reggie begins by doing a quick demo of the beetle and then handing over the controls to Jimmy just before going into a fight with a Stalfos. Immediately, Jimmy goes into a Wiimote swinging frenzy to the amusement of the audience and completely annihilates the Stalfos.

As with yesterday’s show, I love watching games being demoed by comedians and I think it should happen more often. I mean who wouldn’t want to see Majora’s Mask played by Jerry Seinfeld?

Reggie: You need to defeat this skeleton by carefully angling the Wii remote and hitting the areas of its body that it’s not defending.
Jimmy: *maniacally flails the wii remote and slashes the skeleton to death with no strategy whatsoever and pure luck, twice as fast as he would have by fighting the way he was supposed to*
This moment summed up everything that was wrong with Skyward Sword combat.
