We have all seen some incredible fan-made shoes on the internet, which are without a doubt, excellently made, but wouldn’t it just be incredible to have an officially licensed pair of Nintendo-inspired shoes? That day is soon to come, for popular shoe brand Vans and Nintendo have partnered up to bring some very nice shoes inspired on Nintendo’s most popular franchises, including Mario, Donkey Kong, and of course, The Legend of Zelda. The designs themselves are inspired by the older, 8-bit designs of these franchises, rather than the more modern ones out today.
Shoes inspired on everyone’s favorite heroes are not the only designs coming, however. Designs inspired in the NES controller and general 8-bit designs are also awaiting people with wallets full of money. Check out some of the designs:
A may be being biased as a Zelda fan here, but I personally think the Zelda-inspired shoes are the nicest of them all. Lastly, it is worth noting that the designs you see here do not complete the entire line Vans will be putting out, so expect some more designs to be unveiled later on. The collection is expected to release in June, so it’s not too far off!
