Trailer released for upcoming Zelda fan film: Oblivion Rising

There’s a new Zelda fan film in the works! Oblivion Rising, directed by Scott Whitehurst, asks the question, “How far would you go for the one you love?”. The trailer just launched, and oh my goodness this is going to be incredible — I may or may not have fangirl squealed while watching it.

“How far would you go for the one you love?”

In this new story, Hyrule is saved and Link has finally married Princess Zelda (making this ZeLink shipper very happy). Sadly, Hyrule doesn’t stay peaceful for long, and what should have been his happily ever after is snatched away. The stakes are higher than ever before as Link travels back in time with a mysterious being known as “The Messenger of the Oblivion.” I’m so excited for Oblivion Rising. The production quality is outstanding. Everything from the costumes to the actors to the cinematography look fantastic, going far beyond what you’d expect from any fan-produced film.

Oblivion Rising follows the 2009 fan film Triforce Prophecy and features much of the same cast. The film is due to come out in May 2016. Be sure to Like Oblivion Rising on Facebook for ongoing updates on this exciting new story.
