This week on Zelda News, Amanda totally rocks a Ravio t-shirt and talks about a brand new Super Smash Bros. update, Nintendo’s livestream from Gamescom, and Nintendo’s earnings from the first quarter of this fiscal year.
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS have received an update that now allows players to participate in a much anticipated Tournament Mode, so you can brawl it out with all your friends. They also released two classic N64 stages as DLC, Hyrule Castle and Peach’s Castle, as well as nine new Mii Fighter costumes. The update also incorporates YouTube into Smash, much like Mario Kart 8, so you can upload your battles online for all your friends to see.
Nintendo is also streaming their Gamescom event on their German Twitch channel, which takes place August 6-8. There will be a number of Zelda Universe representatives who are attending, so if you’re there as well, make sure to say hi!
Finally, Nintendo has released their earnings from the first quarter of this fiscal year. While the company was projected to post a $1 million loss, instead, Nintendo brought in over $700 million with an operating income of $9.3 million.
