I have fond memories playing Link’s Awakening on my Game Boy Color. I greatly enjoyed exploring Koholint Island and the mystery surrounding the Wind Fish and its egg, which sat upon the top of Mount Tamaranch. DeviantArt user Pertheseus has constructed a piece of art that captures the dream-like feel of the game, as well as the grandeur of the Wind Fish.
My favorite part about this piece is the “big” feeling it gives off; this giant creature — given size perspective, thanks to a much smaller Link hitching a ride alongside it — barrels through the clouds, while still maintaining a majestic quality. The usage of lighter colors, such as powder blues and whites, also adds to the grandiose feel to the Wind Fish.
