The 3DS has a ton of colors and designs available for it. But for some, there isn’t enough, and they take it into their own hands to mod their console to their liking. Well, Bernard Capulong has done just that by putting together this awesome, modded 3DS XL! This 3DS XL utilizes a wood grain vinyl wrap (3M’s Marine Teak Wood Grain to be exact) in order to give this 3DS XL a very retro, 70s look to it. It looks very old-timey, and you can’t go wrong with a classic wood finish! You can check out another stunning image after the jump.

I would assume that they modified the handheld with this new casing because they themselves enjoy the style. Should they not have made the changes to their own device because a complete stranger does not like it?

Meme pic only hurts your point, but you said it well.

Personally, I love that look, but it’s ok if you don’t.

It’s hardly 70’s wood grain. The wood you mean (often stickied onto cars and such) is usually flat and without grain or texture, instead being just a print.
