Littlejem, a Youtuber well-known for her cosplay work has recently made a fully functional replica of the King of Red Lions from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. She decided to build the boat to fulfill one of her childhood dreams of wanting to sail away in Link’s boat. Using a wooden boat as the base, it took only two months for her to finish the project. Even though it utilizes a modern motor instead of the wind making it move, the head and jaw both move like in the game. To do this, moving parts were used.
The rest of the boat was constructed using a combination of foam, wood, 3D printing and additional materials to ensure it’s as accurate as possible. Littlejem goes into detail on how she made the boat and shows the entire creative process. This includes how she came up with the idea, how it was painted and near the end shows the life-size replica of the King of Red Lions sailing on the water after it’s completed.
