Hello there, Universe! It’s been a while, but I am back again, and here to bring you two amazing Zelda songs! Today we focus in on Twilight Princess, and the talent of two remixers who have a talent with de-vamping newer video game music to 8-bit masterpieces. Twilight Princess has arguably some of the best music in the Zelda series, and I always enjoy hearing 8-bit remixes of it’s original score.
First in this instalment of Music Monday I found a fantastic 8-bit remix of Ordon Village, and an equally fantastic 8-bit remix of one of my personal favourite songs from Twilight Princess, the theme from good old explosive Death Mountain. Hit the jump to hear both of this, and my respective thoughts on them!
Ordon Village is a really cool part of Twilight Princess’s Hyrule. It always reminded me of Kokiri Forest, but it has it’s own unique inhabitants and is a really great starting point on your adventure! YouTuber thepsynergist get’s my Music Monday thumbs up, and I highly advise a visit to his / her channel, because it’s packed with a ton of orchestral remixes and 8-bit remixes of Zelda music!
Death Mountain is a pretty iconic location in Hyrule thanks to Ocarina of Time, and is still to this day one of my favourite Zelda songs! YouTube user CheezDude111 is worth checking out for his amazing Zelda 8-bit de-makes! His remix of Death Mountain still stuns me, because it sounds so good I thought it could have been in a classic Zelda game. Excellent work!
Thank you for reading, and make sure to check back next week for another Music Monday!
