Hey guys! It’s two days until Christmas! In today’s edition, we discuss the possibility and wishes of The Legend of Zelda games ported to the Wii U.

When the Wii U was revealed at E3 2011, we were introduced to the what the next-gen Nintendo console would be capable of and we had a look at how the controller would look/work.  I remember sitting in the audience and thinking how awesome a Zelda game would be with this new Wii U tablet.  The possibilities were endless!  This could change the menu system, the way we use our items and maps.  It may even give us new ways to use classic items and weapons like the slingshot or clawshot.

More after the jump!

With the excitement of what a Zelda Wii U title could be, nostalgic thoughts ran through our heads of the older Zelda titles and how much we enjoyed playing those.  How much those games felt new and fresh, like actually going on a new adventure every time.  Then it struck us!  Nintendo has ported GameCube games to the Nintendo Wii in the past, Nintendo New Play Control titles .

What is the possibility that Nintendo will port some of their old titles for the Wii U like they did for the Wii, and implement the new control style?  How awesome would it be to play Majora’s Mask or The Wind Waker while having the new tablet as a new play style!  Being able to quickly travel across the high seas with your new map/tablet by you side!  Or easily selecting your masks with your new tablet!  We got a nice taste of this with Ocarina of Time 3D.  We got a second screen to switch out items and to quickly check our maps.  This made an already amazing classic game feel fresh and new.

Would you want to see classic Zelda titles ported or added to a virtual shop on the Wii U, implemented with new controls?  Let us know in the comments below or in the video attached!

Thanks again, and you have just been ChrisCrossed!
