Check out one of the coolest ways possible to recycle your old NES games…

Brian R. Ohio, also known as “slip”, is the webmaster at Hush Monkey Studios, and he’s made himself famous among gamers with his eccentic art. Instead of using canvas or clay, he takes spraypaint and old NES cartridges and decorates them with video game decorations.

Apparently, he submitted his work to Nintendo Power, and they put a few samples of his stuff in the Art section of the April ’07 issue. Congratulations, slip!

He’s got works from many famous NES series, including Contra, Double Dragon, Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros., and (of course) a few from The Legend of Zelda. His style is very cool, in my opinion. It’s sort of like a cross between Miyamoto and the Garbage Pail Kids. Check it out. He’s got another Zelda one on his site, so head there and check it out…

If only my old NES allowed me to play the game and show off the art at the same time…
