Linktober art contest wrap up

Halloween has come and gone and the ink from this month’s Linktober has just begun to dry. We want to say a big thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s contest and to give a few updates before we get too far into November.

First of all, if you’re not sure what I’m talking about, be sure to check out our original contest announcement here. Secondly, we ended up with just under 500 individual entries from 32 artists across five different social media platforms, so to say that this year’s contest was a success would be a massive understatement.

In the coming weeks, the ZU editors and staff from Linktober will go over the entries and select the top three entries for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize. Also, just to clarify, an artist can only win one prize, so there will be three different artists that are selected for the final prizes. Our goal is to have all of the entries reviewed before the end of November and to make the winning announcement before the end of the month. Each artist will be direct messaged before the article is published, so that they know when the results will be public.

For some brief housekeeping, if you believe that your entries may have been overlooked (and because of the various algorithms, they may have), feel free to contact me at derek@zeldauniverse.net and I’ll get your submissions recorded. In addition, if you do not want to be a part of the prizes or results articles, please feel free to send me a message as well.

Thanks again to those who submitted and everyone should feel especially proud of their hard work throughout the month of October!
