Waves of new official Zelda merchandise and promotional crossovers have arrived from Nintendo, and most of it seems to be coming to Japan only. There are some exceptions, however, as a handful of items and sweepstakes opportunities have popped up exclusively for My Nintendo Rewards members in the United States.
First up, fans in Japan can look forward to a new officially licensed t-shirt of Princess Zelda from Twilight Princess and a pair of adorable Zonai earrings inspired by the ones that Zelda and Sonia wear in Tears of the Kingdom. The earrings are screw-on and are made from a zinc alloy, brass, iron and acrylic. Next, a classy luggage tote and a golden metal travel mug with the Triforce emblem are also available. The tote is made from black fabric with a golden Triforce emblem and a stylish strap adorned in golden triangles. More pictures of those items can be found here.
Finally, the canned beverage company Suntory has teamed up with Nintendo to deliver a promotional crossover of the Legend of Zelda brand with their BOSS coffee product. A sweepstakes featuring BOSS hoodies of Link, Zelda, and Ganon from Echoes of Wisdom can be won in a contest for participants in Japan. For a limited time, there will be special red BOSS coffee cans featuring Link and Zelda from Tears of the Kingdom in select vending machines. Suntory has released a new flavor to celebrate the occasion which is “BOSS Brave Lightly Sweet” in a rough English translation. If you live in Japan or are visiting there, you might want to look for these if you happen upon a vending machine for a cool refreshment.
These items seem to be only available in Japan, but fans in the United States can look forward to new Zelda merch opportunities as well. Nintendo has a tote bag exclusively for My Nintendo Rewards members in the America region. It features Princess Zelda’s wanted poster in Echoes of Wisdom (and her curiously large nose). Members can obtain the bag for free with their rewards points and the cost of shipping, which is waived if your total purchase is $50 USD or more.
Speaking of using your points wisely, American My Nintendo Rewards members have several opportunities for special Nintendo sweepstakes events, including a chance to win the Lego Great Deku Tree set and an Echoes of Wisdom merch set filled with goodies.
