GBA Link to the Past and Four Swords for NSO now available in the UK

It’s a good time for Zelda fans in the United Kingdom to shout “huzzah!” because the Game Boy Advance (GBA) classics A Link to the Past and Four Swords are now available for Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) Expansion Pack members in the United Kingdom to play right away. Nintendo UK made the announcement today on their YouTube Channel via a short trailer. The games include an online multiplayer option for Four Swords, which is a quality of life improvement for many given the fact that the only way to play the original version of Four Swords was through local multiplayer with four people. Nostalgic gamers will recall that playing Four Swords with friends also helped unlock certain features in the Game Boy Advance version of A Link to the Past. The same is true in the NSO Expansion Pack port.

This dynamic duo of Zelda titles on the GBA was previously announced in the June 2024 Nintendo Direct. They were available on the NSO Expansion Pack for customers on the same day of the Direct, but it’s still nice to see the United Kingdom get some Zelda love. All games on the NSO Expansion Pack can be played in any region of the world where Nintendo Switch Online services are available.
