Way back in 1996 Nintendo released the Nintendo 64. While video games were not incredibly old at that point in history, the system distinguished itself from its competition by providing players with a unique controller and the ability to play with four of your friends at the same time. From that point forward we got the Game Cube, Wii, WiiU, and Switch. Each provides players with a truly unique way to play their favorite games. Nintendo loves to not just innovate in their software, but in their hardware as well. It seems that Nintendo fans are no different.
Two months ago the YouTuber Lledos showcased his “mech suit” controller by showing its functionality playing the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The video chronicles Lledos’ journey to improve his software and hardware to play Tears of the Kingdom in a more immersive way than most gamers are used to. Complete with a prototype sword, shield and bow, Lledos demonstrates his various creative methods of game play instruments, and the many challenges of game control development. You can watch what he discovered in the YouTube video below.
