Ever since Eiji Aonuma first revealed the gameplay of Tears of the Kingdom to the world, the adorable Koroks with rather heavy backpacks has been capturing the hearts of players. Thousands of them were able to help the forest cuties reach their friends, and some players displayed their affection towards them in rather peculiar ways. In any case, now you can help these Koroks reach their friend once again, and that friend is you! (As long as you handle them nicely.)
The Japanese toy maker Sanei Boeki is planning to release their highly detailed plush backpack Koroks sometime in mid-February. The English translation of their product description says, “From The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Korok stuffed toy is scheduled to be released in mid-February. The large backpack has been carefully decorated with detailed decorations.” At least two different Korok plush designs will become available, and yes, both of them appear to be absolutely huggable and super soft. Just like their appearance in the game, each one holds a tree branch as a walking stick, but that doesn’t seem to do them much good with their hilariously huge backpacks. Lucky for these Koroks, shoppers can help set them in the right direction by preordering now on the Play Asia website. Each Korok design (the red and brown backpack varieties, respectively,) can be purchased for $23.99. Once ordered, they cannot be returned or cancelled (or Recalled for that matter), so it is wise to bear that in mind. No Koroks were harmed in the making of these plushes.
Sanei Boeki is well known for making plush toys for various Nintendo franchises including The Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Splatoon, and Pokemon, with most of them inspired from Super Mario Bros. Not surprisingly, they recently announced a plush of Elephant Mario as well. You can preorder it now on Play Asia. Lots of other soft goodies are on the site too, so if you’re in a sudden mood for plushes they offer free global shipping for any order over $100 USD.
