Supplement Timing shows off amazing shoe design mockups featuring Breath of the Wild and more

Fitness site Supplement Timing recently posted some really rad mockups of shoes inspired by many different video games and franchises. Breath of the Wild, Bioshock Infinite, Animal Crossing, and more are featured in the gallery below.

The idea was inspired by Adidas teaming up with CD Projekt Red to make shoes to hype up the release of Cyberpunk 2077, which was met with lukewarm feelings. “Maybe the brands aren’t trying hard enough,” says the press release from Supplement Timing. “There’s a whole lot of imagination… that gets lost between video game worlds and real-life sneakers.”

To be honest, these designs really did deliver. Each shoe is designed with impeccable attention to detail and you can tell these were made by people who understand the games. The Animal Crossing shoes look colorful and comfy, the God of War shoes have fur to keep your feet warm on your adventure through Midgard, and the Portal shoes look like they were designed by GLaDOS herself.

Drip of the Wild.

The Breath shoes “pair nature and a cross-country feel with a touch of medieval magic.” They’re designed using a boot as the base for comfort and toughness but built to give you the speed of a pair of sneakers. Honestly, these sneaks fit in really well with the aesthetics of the series. The base color is Link’s signature green with buckles for you to hold in your gear. The high laces will provide adequate ankle protection while you are running through Hyrule fields or kicking a Bokoblin in the face.

Even though these shoes aren’t real, Supplement Timing was able to show that comfortable and eye-catching video game footwear can be made if there is a passion behind it. After all, shoes and games are “two properties that get the cool kids and the nerds talking.”
