Showing off parts of their latest project, Second Wind, Breath of the Wild modder Waikuteru is back with a new video to enjoy. A project with over 50 contributors, Second Wind is a free, fanmade, large-scale DLC pack for Breath of the Wild that features new content including quests, weapons, NPCs, and enemies.
The video demonstrates the mod’s novel shop system, a process that “is pretty complex and took us many months to get working,” says Waikuteru. “You will be able to buy cooked items” in addition to being able to sell food items and specify the needed materials to make them. You’d think this was enough already, but the team did not stop there.
The Second Wind DLC also includes a new location, NPC, potion, and a little story to tie it all together. Nancy, the witch NPC created by the team, sells elixirs.
We’re told that her powers increase by night, along with the effects of the elixirs. But watch out, as she will punish you if you don’t buy anything from the shop not only with sassy words but also through her actions.
