The Crackle exclusive Playing With Power: The Nintendo Story has dropped its debut trailer recently. Although pretty joyful and positive to start with, the latter half of the trailer hints at Nintendo’s dark side during its rise to power.
The trailer starts with a lot of celebrities and gaming insiders praising Nintendo and recounting all of their favorite memories. It’s even narrated by Sean Astin! How wholesome! However, about halfway through, there is a complete tonal shift and it begins to talk about the more sinister side of Nintendo’s rise to the top of the gaming food chain.
Playing With Power: The Nintendo Story debuts on Crackle on March 1, 2021.
