YouTuber Yianni Papazis has rebuilt parts of the legendary Nintendo 64 classic Ocarina Of Time in Unreal Engine 4, and it is gorgeous. Tasting the nostalgia, many commenters agreed that this build is “seriously amazing, [Yianni Papazis] captured the way I saw the game as a 12-year-old.”
Featuring the locations Castle Town, part of Hyrule Field, and the Temple of Time, this playable build (available for download) has brought Ocarina Of Time to life while preserving the original N64 style and colors. Although Yianni Papazis is no longer working on the project, he has offered the community the opportunity to continue the project, if they’re so inclined.
While we probably shouldn’t expect a remake at this level for Zelda’s 35th anniversary in February 2021, that can’t stop us from dreaming.
