New Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity trailer gives us looks at Master Kohga, a new Yiga leader, and a mysterious figure

Nintendo dropped another unexpected trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity this morning, showing off some of the villains that Link, Zelda, and co. will be doing battle with. You can watch the clip below.

The dastardly Yiga Clan was on full display in the new video, which gave particular attention to Master Kohga. Whether this is the same exact Master Kohga as the one we fought in Breath of the Wild or a different Yiga member just bearing the title remains to be seen. We at least know that Kohga will once again have a flair for the dramatic in Age of Calamity, with some pretty amusing lines of boastful dialogue.

Another Yiga warrior was prominent in the trailer, and it appears to be a brand new member of the clan. They’re just as tall and as imposing as one of the Yiga Blademasters, but with a little bit different headpiece, and a pair of katana-like blades at the ready.

Perhaps most intriguing from this new trailer was what came at the very end. We see a brief scene of two Yiga warriors meeting with a mysterious figure — who just happens to be dressed in a black cloak bearing the Gerudo crest. The only other look we get of this person is a fleeting shot of their devilish eyes.

Just who could this black-clad figure be?

The identity of this mysterious figure remains unknown, but there’s already lots of theories floating around. Could it be a young Ganondorf? The fortune teller who the Royal Family consulted with? Perhaps a brand new villain? We’ll find out next month when Age of Calamity releases for Nintendo Switch.
