Modder Waikuteru has developed a mod for the Trial of the Sword DLC in Breath of the Wild, which transforms the trial into the ominous “Trial of Darkness.” The mod switches off all light sources, adding more difficulty to the already tough challenge.
With no light to guide you, you will need to be extra careful when traversing each challenge room. Mastery over the DLC will be useful, with enemies lurking around every corner. Interestingly, this is the first mod ever to be created for the Trial of the Sword DLC. This has been made possible through the efforts of the modding community. However, at this moment in time, only simple parameters can be changed but Waikuteru says that more time will be needed to alter other aspects of the DLC.
Waikuteru also developed the Skyview Temple mod for Breath of the Wild in March and promises that more mods are on the way.
