NookLink, the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons mobile app, is fittingly named, considering all the beautiful Zelda content that users have been sharing through it. Thanks to the magic of QR codes through the Nintendo Switch Online app, a potentially endless amount of designs await you. That’s why we brought it upon ourselves to highlight a quick selection to get you started.
To set up the NookLink app, go to the Animal Crossing: New Horizons title screen and press the “-” button. This will allow you to connect to the Nintendo Switch Online app on your smartphone/tablet, providing you with the ability to scan Zelda-related designs into your game using QR codes. We have been obsessed with Zelda-related QR codes for the latest Animal Crossing outing, as you may have seen on our Twitter page. You may also already have a long-forgotten sacred stash hoarded away in the 3DS installment, New Leaf, so you will have even more to choose from in addition to the following selection.

First up, we have a beautiful 8-bit art design of Link, Zelda, the title screen to the original Legend of Zelda game, an NES console, and some art of dungeons on the overworld map of the original game.
Groose from Skyward Sword even gets some recognition, with his garments comfortably sealed into this QR code below:
The fashionable lobster shirt that Link sports in The Wind Waker can be harvested below, along with his sister Aryll’s floral dress. Perfect if you have a particular interest in Link’s cel-shaded adventure.
If you want your villager to be gloriously draped in Zelda’s royal garments, you may be tempted to add this intricate design to your wardrobe:
Ever wondered where Kafei from Majora’s Mask got his distinctive attire back in those nostalgic Clocktown days (three, to be exact)? Turns out you don’t have to wonder at all. Just scan the QR code below. If Kafei doesn’t deserve your time, perhaps Anju’s simple dress sense will satisfy your clothing tastes.
We are particularly fond of this fantastic placement of Link and Marin from Link’s Awakening, which gives us a whole lot of good nostalgic Zelda feelings every time we see it. It deserves more than an honorable mention, showcasing how creative the Zelda community is, as well as how adored the franchise itself is.
This is only a meager selection of the plethora of QR codes available, with plenty more available thanks to the amazing aforementioned Zelda community.
Feel free to share your favorite designs with us in the comments below or on social media. We always welcome creative new designs on our islands!
