SNES controllers for the Switch now available in the UK and Europe

SNES controllers are now available to buy in the UK and Europe for the Nintendo Switch.

The controller, home to the quintessential colorful buttons you may or may not have bashed in during the ’90s, is exclusive to those who have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

You can make this wireless SNES controller yours for £26.99/€29.99, but be aware of the sharp £8.90 that will be added for the pleasure of having it delivered to your door.

Inside the box you will find a single USB cable and one controller.

Gamers who have been quick off the mark to snap up the wireless retro video game peripheral have already experienced some unfortunate issues in securing the controller, with their attempt to purchase being met with failure.

The fans’ struggles to buy has prompted Nintendo to go onto Twitter to provide an update on the situation and offer an apology. If you’re feeling lucky and still seeking one though, give it a try right here.

If you decide to proceed with the purchase (if Nintendo’s website allows), you’ll have to update your Switch to Version 9.0 sometime before the October 2 – 11 delivery window. It’s plenty of time to get yourself geared up to play A Link to the Past yet again!

As an added bonus, your Super Nintendo Entertainment System Nintendo Switch Online catalog will produce tones from Super Mario World in the menu when you use the SNES controller — a neat little touch. You’ll also be able to play other compatible games with the controller.
