With the success that Nintendo has achieved in the past few months, fans were hopeful that they would want to keep the ball rolling with a return of the classic E3 press conference. This will be the Switch’s first E3, after all.
Alas, Nintendo stated during their Financial Results Briefing that they will not be hosting an E3 Press Conference this year. Yes, in all likelihood they’ll be sticking to their pre-recorded guns — not a bad thing, really, when you think about how badly live events can go. For the moment Nintendo is mum on their E3 plans, but we know there will be a focus on Super Mario Odyssey, a Splatoon 2 tournament, and surprise announcements. Just be sure to practice your bomb drills!
