We have known for a while now that the newest Zelda game, Breath of the Wild, was going to be a March release, alongside the launch of the Nintendo Switch. However, Amazon has begun sending emails concerning arrival dates for customers who pre-ordered the game, stating a March 31 arrival date.
While this seems to be no more than an updated placeholder date, it is a bit of a dandy moment to see a semi-concrete date for the game. This is by no means an official date until confirmed by Nintendo, but at least we can rest assured their won’t be some other surprise delay. Perhaps we’ll get confirmation from Nintendo at The Game Awards, but it seems unlikely that we get a Breathe of the Wild release date before we get a Switch release date, which has been revealed to be getting no more updates until January. We will just have to wait and see.
It’s a small update, but it sure re-ignited the hype flames among Zelda Universe peers! I’m sure it did for most of you, so let us know your feelings as well!
