Manga artist team Akira Himekawa is re-releasing their Legend of Zelda manga in new, Legendary Editions that collect two books into one with bonus material. The first, Ocarina of Time, is set to release in the United States on November 1, 2016, with subsequent volumes releasing every two months after.
Recently, Amazon updated the product page for the first edition with images of the front and back covers. It’s similar in design to the Japanese version, with a callback to the Hyrule Historia in the choice of colors. The front features art of Adult Link with the Master Sword in-hand, along with the title.
The back is occupied by Princess Zelda, and is the same art featured on the back of the original Ocarina of Time manga, volume two. The manga description reads, Young Link embarks on a perilous quest to find three spiritual stones that hold the key to the Triforce, the wielder of which will rule the world! Link’s plan is to deliver the stones to the Princess of the mystical land of Hyrule, Zelda. But obstacles abound and his long journey has only just begun!
With these new editions of the Zelda manga, the upcoming Arts & Artifacts art book, and the already available Hyrule Historia, fans of the classic series have plenty of reason to clear out some shelf space. Will you be picking up these Legendary Editions?
