Nintendo of America is giving select fans the chance to try out Tri Force Heroes prior to release.
If you’re one of the lucky fans, you could be receiving an email from Nintendo of America with instructions to download the included code for a Tri Force Heroes demo. But because it’s dangerous to go alone, the email includes two additional codes to share with your friends for local multiplayer.
Of course local multiplayer isn’t the only mode available in the game, so Nintendo of America is offering three chances to play online multiplayer, similar to the Global Testfire demo launched prior to Splatoon‘s release. The available times will be:
- 10/16: 5 PM – 10 PM PT
- 10/17: 5 PM – 10 PM PT
- 10/18: 7 AM – 12 PM PT
The demo can be played as many times as the player wants, and local play is available at any time if you have two friends who can join you. If you don’t have any local friends, you can still check out the game’s lobby until the online times open. There you can learn more about the game from the NPC’s located inside, and do your best to keep the music ball in the air after knocking it down with a good dash.
Currently there is no information on what levels are available, however it’s safe to say that the North American demo will likely offer the same levels as the Japanese demo: the Forest Temple, the Fire Temple, and The Fortress. This should whet fans’ appetites until the full game releases on October 23.
Were you lucky enough to get a demo email? If so, will you be breaking into the local multiplayer, or waiting for the online times?
