I’ve never really thought about similarities between Pokemon and Ocarina of Time — aside from both being great games — but if you break them down and look at them at just the right angle, the two aren’t that different. Spiritual Stones and Medallions are essentially Gym Badges as each dungeon requires you to defeat a grouping of monsters before receiving your reward from that area’s leader. Both feature a fairly quiet protagonist, and a cheerful pink-haired young lady is always eager to heal you of any ailments.
