The official Japanese website for Hyrule Warriors recently uploaded more screenshots than you can shake a Deku Stick at. They offer an in-depth look at many of the characters and details revealed in Monday’s Hyrule Warriors Direct video. Read on to see playable characters Zant, Ghirahim and Ganondorf in action, as well as new looks at other characters and enemies.
Zant
The Usurper King of the Twilight Realm brings his eccentricities to Hyrule Warriors. His weapon of choice will be the scimitar, but Zant can use all manner of spinning, slashing and magic attacks. In a screenshot below, an army of poor Gorons don’t stand a chance against Zant.
Ghirahim
Also confirmed playable was Ghirahim. With fabulous power, Ghirahim seems to be teaming up with Zant to bring the pain. His weapon will be the Demon Blade, and the loyal servant is seen below taking on Hyrulean soldiers with it.
Ganondorf
Of course, Zant and Ghirahim have nothing on Ganondorf. His moveset appears to draw inspiration from Demise, considering his use of calling down lightning with a raised sword. It appears Ganondorf has the loyalty of Ghirahim and Zant as well, who appear by his side.
King Dodongo
Several of the screenshots added give a closer look at King Dodongo. The fiery behemoth is seen below taking on the King of Evil, Ganondorf.
Cia, Valga, Wizzro, Dark Link
We’ve already learned a bit about Cia, the force causing much of the mayhem in Hyrule Warriors. The next three images show off a bit of her detail, and one interesting image has her holding the entire Triforce–Power, Wisdom, Courage and all.
It looks like Lana will rise to the occasion, however. Here she is taking on Cia. Play close attention in the second image: you can see a Dark Link or Shadow Link going after Lana with a jump attack.
Wizzro, a servant of Cia that we’ve seen before, also gets a few new screens. Here is the monster battling a Master Sword-wielding Link in a newly revealed stage.
Another enemy we haven’t seen in a while is the fire dragon warrior Valga. Part beast, part man, Valga leaps into the foray, only to be held back by the keen strength of Impa.
Link, Impa, Sheik, Lana and more
The heroes of Hyrule Warriors are the subjects of a few more screenshots. Link, Sheik, Impa, Lana and even the Great Fairy are seen below.
Adventure Mode
While we already learned a lot about the new Adventure Mode, the Japanese site went into a lot more detail with these images. In one image, Sheik earns a special key as a reward.
