NCSX, the Japanese import retailer, has an item that is just about to start shipping: a collection of six Zelda figurines. As you can see from the image, the six figurines are from Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, and Skyward Sword. For more information and to find out how to pre-order this collection, hit the jump below!

Here is the description from the NCSX purchase page, which is located here.

Each figure is packed in a plastic capsule and the toys are normally sold in gashapon dispensers where the luck of the draw decides which figure you’ll receive when the dispenser knob is turned. For the sake of completion, NCS will gather together the six different figures and supply them in complete sets at the price of US$28.90 each. Reservations are welcome to ship in mid-late April 2012.

So, as it turns out, these figurines are actually gashapon dispenser figurines. Gashapon dispensers are machines that exist in Japan where buyers can insert their money, turn a crank, and random get a single capsule with the prize inside. If you’re still confused as to what gashapon dispensers are, a picture is included below.

Gashapon dispensers are similar to the vending machines that appear in the United States, however these machines are usually more expensive ($1-$6, as compared to the US vending machines, which are generally $.25-$1), and the prizes are usually better quality.

Like the description on the NCSX page said, what the retailer has done is bought a large amount of these Zelda figurines and put them in a convenient collection which you can pre-order here for $28.90. They said they are starting shipping in mid-late April, so expect them to start shipping very soon!

Wow, I was expecting them to be higher priced. I'll definitely have to look into this. Thanks for the heads up!

The large Korean shopping malls in Los Angeles have gachapon dispensers. I've picked up Nintendo-themed items from these dispensers before. Hopefully these figures somehow make their way into those dispensers.

Actually, I think the one on the bottom is phantom hourglass not wind waker cuz it has the hourglass next to the logo and the art style is different then that on wind waker's

… wait a second… are they called gashapon? like, gasha seeds from the oracle games? … MIND BLOWN.

That isn't Wind Waker, it's Phantom Hourglass! Look at the logo, look at the box art, and Link has a fairy, which has to be Ciela from Phantom Hourglass, since he doesn't have a fairy in Wind Waker.
