A few days ago we reported that a Zelda 25th Anniversary 3DS bundle was on its way to Europe on November 25th, but we had no confirmation that it would be a worldwide release.  That is, until the new Gamestop catalogue arrived, listing the bundle at $199.99 alongside a similar Mario-themed bundle, which unfortunately seems to just include a regular red 3DS rather than a specially-designed Mario one.

With the bundle being released in both the US and Europe, there’s a good chance that it will be available in other regions as well, but considering Nintendo’s inconsistent past in that regard, that is not yet a certainty. We will continue to update on the status of the bundle in other regions over the next few days.

Does US include Canada or is that a separate region?

Yes, it does. At least I am pretty sure. and one a side note. I am so glad I waited to buy the 3DS!

  • Well now I wish I hadn't already bought a 3DS….

  • Xosgni

Given that almost every game I wanted for this system that was supposed to come out this year has been canceled, I wish I had waited to buy this version of the 3DS instead.

  • where can i preorder

  • Dear Nintendo

    Thank you.

So wait, according to this, the special edition 3DS is only going to be available on Black Friday? I'm a little confused, or is the deal to trade in your old DS the Black Friday deal?

    • Ailuros27

I called my local GameStop, and they said that in their store, at least, that it is a Black Friday-only deal. Once they're gone, they're gone. If you look at the GameStop catalog in the link above, it says 2,200 of their stores will be open at midnight on Black Friday, with all other stores open at 5 AM.

I'd call the nearest GameStop to your location and ask what time they'll be opening, then plan on camping out if you really want one. That's what I'm doing. A camping chair, fully charged DS, etc. and I should be set. The cold doesn't really bother me.

  • Oh man. If I trade in my old DS lite I'll be able to get this for much cheaper. But I've been with this old guy for so long! What will I do without him? And how will I transfer my POKEMON? Such a dilemma.

    • Ailuros27

It's relatively easy to transfer your Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection ID to another system. Go to the link below for instructions. Of course, this assumes you have both systems in hand to make the transfer. The guys at my local GameStop are pretty nice, and I'm sure if you asked the employees in your town nicely, they'd let you hold onto your old DS Lite long enough to get out your new 3DS and perform the ID transfer.

Of course, you'd need to bring everything you needed into the store, because they probably wouldn't let you leave the store until you gave them the old DS. Just calmly explain everything to an employee and see what they say.

Here's the link. Just copy and paste it into your browser's address bar. http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/ds/tra

It's also available through EB games in Australia but it's not bundled with Ocarina of Time.

In England the Mario 3DS is a new colour: "Ice White". And there's also a Nintendogs and cats one that is "Coral Pink"

are we sure this is legit? I mean, Nintendo hasn't said a word. dear lord, I want it to be true – I don't have a 3DS yet – but this could be a hoax.

I don't know about this one. I know I'll get a lot of hate for this but Aqua Blue, Flame Red, and soon to be Ice white look better than the Cosmo Black 3DS.

So excited!! Very happy I don't have a 3DS yet.

  • Nice! It's a good thing I didn't get a 3DS yet.

  • some guy named nick

I knew waiting to get a 3DS would prove beneficial!

  • Sakume

At first I was one that said "Aw man I wish I didn't get my 3ds now early" but I'm actually pretty happy with it still. Ambass program and all that was a nice touch and I still got to play/get to play some of the 3ds games I have a hankerin for now instead of having to wait.

  • Thank you, I have recently been searching for information about this subject for a long time and yours is the greatest I’ve found out till now. But, what in regards to the bottom line? Are you certain about the supply?|What i do not understood is in fact how you’re no longer really a lot more smartly-preferred than you might be now. You are very intelligent.
