Four Swords Released on DSi and 3DS

Your rupees are no good here, Blue. This game is free

The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords has been released today across the globe – and better yet, as a free DSiWare/eShop download!

The game is essentially a port of the original Four Swords for the Game Boy Advance released back in 2002/3, though it has been enhanced in a few different ways. Firstly, those annoying Game Boy Advance Link cables that made Four Swords such a pain to play are no longer an issue, as the DSi/3DS transfers all data through wireless communication. Secondly, the game can be played in Single Player mode for those who don’t have friends with a DS system. There are also some neat extras like the 25th anniversary logo on startup and even some new stages. And did we mention it’s free? So if you have a DSi or a 3DS, you should definitely download this game right away, especially since this is a limited offer – in 2012 it will disappear from the shop channel.

Stay tuned for our in-depth review as our staff try out the new version of the game for themselves!
