In this week’s mailbag, Ganon finds a way to come back before he’s born, and Jason begs Nintendo for a steampunk Zelda title like Valley of the Flood, but Nintendo won’t let him have it until he learns how to iron his flamboyant purple shirts.

And don’t forget to send your questions in to be answered during next week’s mailbag by clicking here!

  • Oh, wow…this is becoming more ludicrous every time. 😀

  • Chancellor_Cole

Awesome version of Tal Tal Heights at the end!!

    • Alessandra

Nope that's not Tal Tal Heights at the end, that's the Overworld from the GameBoy and GameBoy Color series. It's awesome! 🙂

  • Alessandra

    I'm starting to like Jason's mailbags, they're awesome 🙂 I still like Cody's though. 🙂

  • Guns for never in The LEGEND of Zelda.

  • Oh ya may I point something out? If Toon Link was really young Link, then why would Wind Waker come after Ocarina of Time in the ADULT timeline?

    • ChainofTermina

Jason just meant that Toon Link is young, he's a kid. he's not the same person from OoT.

      • Punnutty

You know in Spirit Tracks when the what's her name the Lokomo you find in the tower of spirits, well she said when lokomo's die they are reborn with no memories of what happend in their past life. Ganondorf said in the wind waker that Link was the hero of time reborn, and why does each Link wear a green tunic, is it posible that Link is a Lokomo.

  • ChainofTermina

How come people always get upset over guns in Zelda but they're perfectly fine with Cannons? they're basically the same thing only bigger.

    • Jason Rappaport

Probably because nowadays you don't see cannons (not like the ones they had in oldentimes), but you do see guns – lots and lots of guns. And some of them are relatively similar to really old guns, making them a sort of retro-modern thing.

      • Sam

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the cannon invented first anyway, and that the first guns were just small, portable, cannons?
Maybe if the concept designers stayed away from the contemporary gun look, and stayed with the miniture cannon, like the old Chinese guns, then people (like me) wouldn't freak out as much.
That would be totally something that the gorons orSubrosian would have.

        • zeldarules

I think that I agree, but Link with a gun would be metroid. 😛
It would pretty much ruin Zelda's sense of innocense, not like Zelda is completely innocent but…

          • zeldarules

            *innocence :p

    • Vio

Cannons aren't guns, cannons are medieval, thus fitting the setting. Guns were not invented until much later.

Also, the problem with guns is that, when portrayed in any way realistically, they render almost all other method of weaponry in Zelda obsolete. Swords, chain mail, bows, crossbows, all worthless once you throw guns into the mix.

  • Dude, your whistling is so epic. That's like what I do ALL THE TIME.

Also, Fullmetal Alchemist is amazing. 8D

  • QueenxLink

lol, Jason you watch Fullmetal? 🙂 Dude ur little Zelda song thingies at the end are awesome!

  • shadownin

What is an example of Ganon coming back to life that isn't the oracle games and the game over screen for Adventure of link doesn't count

  • Oodles of Noodles

    Awesome, my question got answered.

  • My Own Self

I've heard that Nintendo has said that they have an actual timeline and that they wouldn't make a prequel for what is supposed too be the first game in that timeline. so that might mean that Ocarina Time isn't the origin of Ganon or Ganondorf.

    • Punnutty

My guess is ganondorf has a way of traveling through time or he is just a very old enemy of the first Link.

  • Sam

Keep Final Fantasy out of my Zelda!
On a slight tangent, I once wrote a Zelda story (OK, FINE! Fan faction) that took place in a early 1800's American, and I though that would be a fun setting.

  • Cam

Dude you essence of evil theory is exactly what I've been thinking the villain is going to be…

  • portallink

I personally would never want to see a steam-punk Zelda, as I have a general distaste for the genre. However, I have always wanted to see Link use a crossbow in a Zelda game, not as the Chinese Cho Ko Nu rapid fire variety but the traditional European marksman's weapon. (Interesting history fact: William Tell used a crossbow, not a regular bow)

    Awesome whistling btw

  • Blah-Blah

Bitchy parents bitching on people with Bsecurity.

  • n23

Usually I would write with much more… intelligence butttt moar jason plz kthanxbai
