You know you want it.

The Gold Zelda Triforce Game Boy Advance SPs were rare enough as they were, but one signed by the legendary game genius himself, Shigeru Miyamoto? There were only thirty.

That’s right, only thirty rare handhelds were made available to the first thirty people in line at the grand opening of the Nintendo World store in New York City.

The item was placed on eBay on the 11th, and within ten days the bidding quickly went from $1 to $3,552!

Had you been in the know, would you have bid for you chance at such a rare Zelda item? Do you own any rare Zelda items?

Let us know in the comments!

  • Znyder

Its kinda sick that someone pays that kind of money for a SP.. But I'm a Zelda collector, if I sold every Zelda game / item I have I could have bought that one 😉

Its one of the many things that I'll never own in my life… But wait… I can send Miyamoto my golden DS so he can sign it.. Do you think he would do it? hehehe

    • bastian

      I wouldn't hold your breath. 😀

      • How could you?

Must be some special and extremely rare talent. ;P

  • bastian

My only "rare" Zelda items aren't that rare at all. I have a Zelda Game & Watch, a gold Triforce DS, and some "trophy" Zelda toys from from 80's. 😛

  • Zelos

I could care less about Miyamoto's signature. It's about the certificate of authenticity, that's not included in this newsitem, but it is included in the actual auction. THAT'S the proof this is extremely rare and that there's only 30 of them (29 were up for sale, as the 30th is still in the Nintendo World Store up for display and not for sale). It's not about the actual item itself, it's about the rarity of this which means a lot to Zelda-collectors. I don't think there's an item that's more rare out there. A lot of Zelda-collectors just accept that they'll never get this item, which is sad, but true. Imagine how AMAZING it must be if you do have it as a Zelda-collector!

I'm surprised the auction ended for that low to be honest! I'd expect it to hit $5000+.

  • Linkman

where was I? O.o and only thirty of'em were made but only one signed.

    • Zelos

No, all of them were signed…all 30 of them.

  • Zelda fans

    wow Miyamoto's signature really worth much…..very much… unexpected=,=

  • Endre

I have Wand of Gamelon! Man that game sucks………

    • Joko tree

Any unlicenced Zelda game not made by people that respect and love the Zelda series are a feng shuing waste of time.

I have the rare gray cartridge of Ocarina of Time (what my research says), which means it's version 1.0. So that allows me to do the Steal the Fishing Rod Glitch, which should be cool, but I've never tried it. I'm lucky my parents bought the game for the Nintendo 64. Feel free to look up and correct me if I'm wrong about the cartridge thing.

  • twilian

Miyamoto's signature is freakin' awesome 😀

  • LoZymugglegater

Oh,I would sell my life for that!Well, not really, because then I wouldn't be able to play it.Well,at least I have a gold triforce DS Lite,Oh yeah!

    • Joko tree

I don't want so sem mean but it's not a DS Lite it's a Gameboy advanced SP.

      • Joko tree

        Seem not sem sorry.

        • Joko tree

          GBA SP's are great.

  • TrustMe101

His signature is awesome! But I would never pay $3,000 for that little thing. I can think of much better things to buy with that money. Zelda is awesome, but this really isn't worth spending that much on…
