Ever wondered what the ruins of the ranch found in Breath of the Wild would’ve looked like before the Calamity? Now you can thanks to a fan mod that faithfully recreates Lon Lon Ranch as it appeared in Ocarina of Time. It features familiar characters like Malon, Talon, Ingo and even Aryll as NPCs you can talk to. Included is a shop run by Malon where you can buy ingredients for food. The mod explores unused ideas that didn’t make it into the final game such as Aryll, Link’s sister who now appears as an old woman, being part of his family in Breath of the Wild.
The tower overlooking the ranch can be explored as well. Inside you can find the diary of Lynn, a custom character and two treasure chests which contain an old shirt and well-worn trousers respectively. The new buildings appear on the mini-map as if they were always there. It brings to life a beloved location from Ocarina of Time and what it might’ve looked like 100 years prior.
