New Nintendo store San Fransisco set to open on May 15

While fans wait on the latest information from the two Nintendo Directs, (yes, there are two) those in the United States can get excited for the Nintendo San Fransisco store, which will open its doors on May 15, 2025.

When the newest store opens to the public, it will join its sister store in New York City in addition to the Japanese stores located in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. Though specifics have yet to be mentioned, it is safe to say that Nintendo San Fransisco will be equipped with a variety of unique and exclusive merchandise for its guests. You can have a taste of what they offer in their online store for Zelda merch and more here.

Nintendo San Fransisco will be located on the corner of Powell and Geary in Union Square, which acts as one of the major tourist hubs and shopping districts for the city. More information on the store’s location and the area surrounding it can be found in this excellent video by the Kit & Kyrsta YouTube channel.

The existing Nintendo stores are great locations for fans to gather and buy official Nintendo merchandise. With such a potentially exciting year on the horizon, it is nice that a whole new group of fans will have easier access to an official store. Seriously, Nintendo New York is nearly three thousand miles, or four thousand six hundred kilometers, away from San Fransisco, so those in the western United States will have a significantly shorter trip.
