GameSpot is now a few entries deep in their new YouTube series, “Things You STILL Didn’t Know In Tears of the Kingdom,” adapted from the same series’ premise they used for Breath of the Wild. The open-world Zelda games are astoundingly detailed, and GameSpot writer Max Blumenthal, aka RinHara5aki, has dedicated himself for years now to chronicling every obscure interaction and reference that players probably missed in these two games.
Beginning back in 2021, GameSpot started featuring motley compilations of tips, trivia, secrets and glitches found in Breath of the Wild, stretching the series to a total of 25 videos by the time of Tears of the Kingdom’s release in 2023. Right before the sequel launched, we interviewed the creator of the series, Max Blumenthal, asking about his motivations, sources and methods for pulling such meticulously researched videos together. You can read our entire interview with him here.
In the latest installment, “31 MORE Things You STILL Didn’t Know in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom”, plenty of oddities, novelties and intricacies are brought to light, such as curious behavior seen from certain Lizalfos, some unique tricks with the Eightfold Longblade, and a pretty crazy waterfall stunt involving an ice weapon.
Let us know if you learned something new, and what your favourite secret was! Expect GameSpot’s series to endure for many more years as Tears of the Kingdom yields to the insistent curiosity of Zelda players.
