Kickstarter for online ocarina museum nearing its end

David Erick Ramos, an ocarina specialist you may have seen on YouTube or at gaming events like PAX, has been raising funds via Kickstarter for an online virtual ocarina museum. The crowd-funding campaign is nearing its end – there are just 3 days to go – and still needs more fans of our favorite instrument to help make the museum a reality.

While we all know the ocarina from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the instrument has been used in various forms for thousands of years. While the Zelda series has helped increase awareness, the ocarina is still a fairly unknown instrument.

David is planning a virtual online Ocarina Museum – an interactive website – to make knowledge about the ocarina more accessible to everyone. This includes the history, technical aspects, and even audio samples of rare ocarinas in the museum’s collection.

In addition to the online museum, the Kickstarter offers a physical photo book to higher tier backers that includes photos and details about a variety of ocarinas.

At the time of this writing, the campaign is about two-thirds of the way to their goal and only has a few days to go. Zelda fans are some of the biggest ocarina fans in the world. Please visit the campaign at OcarinaMuseum.com and consider pledging a few dollars to help preserve the history of the ocarina.
