The Nintendo Switch continues its wild ride of success as it surpasses the sales of the original GameBoy, making the Switch the third best-selling console of all time, according to VGChartz.
However, despite the impressive 118.99 million units sold, the Switch still significantly lags behind the Nintendo DS at 154.02 million units and the PlayStation 2 at 158.70 million units. With the Switch turning six years old this upcoming March, that might be a tough bar to cross.

It will be interesting to see if the Switch will continue to sell at such a fast rate. But with Nintendo still showing support through massive titles like Tears of the Kingdom or Fire Emblem Engage releasing this year, it’s clear they still have faith in the hybrid console.
