Listening to covers of video game music is one of my favorite pastimes. It allows me to listen to different versions of an iconic song, with one of my favorites being “Gerudo Valley” from Ocarina of Time. This track, in particular, has seen a ton of variants over the years, but I’d like to point you toward a particularly great one included in Aaron Grubb’s brand-new Zelda cover album.
The Legend of Zelda Collection Vol.1 features a variety of iconic tracks from our favorite series, including the likes of the “Song of Healing,” “Saria’s Song,” and, of course, “Gerudo Valley.”
The full playlist on YouTube includes 12 tracks, with music from Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, Twilight Princess, and Link’s Awakening. Aaron told us that the album was a product of the lockdown in 2020, and that last year was also his debut on Spotify. He has also produced many other Zelda covers on his YouTube channel.
Grubb’s style of music is really interesting. Each track brings a sense of similarity but also provides something new. If you’re interested in listening to these compositions, you can do so on YouTube or Spotify.
