Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity preorders at GameStop come with ‘Mystery Guardian’ keychains

Remember that adorable baby Guardian keychain that was announced to be available in Japan? You know, the one in the Treasure Box Limited Edition bundle with Age of Calamity? Well, U.S. fans, now you can celebrate too. It looks like the darling keychain will be available in the States when you preorder a physical copy of Age of Calamity at GameStop. Who knew that Guardians could be so cute and tiny?

Who is this adorable little guy?

It’s been one short month since Age of Calamity became known to the public, and Link’s little sidekick has already taken the internet by storm. Some have donned it admirable nicknames, but no official name for it has come to light at this time. It’s interesting to note that the keychain is only called “Mystery Guardian” in the official U.S. product description. None of the staff in the recent Nintendo Treehouse Live presentation named it anything in particular, either. Perhaps we’ll learn more about the baby-like Guardian later in the game story. If they’re still taking votes for names, I’m putting my hat in the ring for “Egguardo.”

At this time, the keychain is only available at GameStop in the U.S. The other special preorder item — Link’s Lucky Ladle weapon DLC — is available with the digital version of Age of Calamity through Nintendo. Age of Calamity will release on November 20, just in time for the holiday season. Stay tuned as we unpack even more information about the game at Zelda Universe.
