‘Piano Tales’ fan album series features beautiful piano covers of Zelda music

There’s nothing quite like listening to a cover of your favorite song. Over the years, video game covers have become increasingly popular on YouTube. Whether it be a basic re-creation of the original track or something that shakes things up a little, they are always a joy to listen to.

YouTuber and musician Darren Ang has produced a series of piano albums covering music from The Legend of Zelda series. He has also covered music from other video game franchises, including the likes of Pokemon, Super Mario Bros., and Kingdom Hearts.

Ang has dubbed this series ”Piano Tales,” with each album compiling iconic tracks from a particular game. The Zelda albums that he has created feature music from Breath of the Wild, A Link to the Past, and Ocarina of Time. The Ocarina of Time Piano Tales includes tracks such as the “Title Screen,” “Kokiri Forest,” and “Lon Lon Ranch.”

Although Ang is providing great renditions of songs to his listeners, he is also trying to grow a collection of detailed piano sheet music. This is so he can provide a free resource for aspiring musicians who want to learn iconic video game compositions. All of this information is available on Ang’s website, where it includes means to listen to his works and download the sheet music.
